World Voyage Relaunches Cunard Cruise Line’s Remodeled Queen Victoria

After the cruise ship’s 20 day refurbishment, the Queen Victoria from Cunard Cruise Line has emerged remodeled in time for her 2015 World Voyage. A grand fireworks display (pictured above) and Cunard 175th anniversary commemorative flag-raising bestowed upon the ship a fitting send off on her way to the Azores, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Hawaii and Australia.

Prior to setting sail, the Queen Victoria received nine new single staterooms dedicated to solo travelers at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg. Additionally, eight new internet stations were installed in the library, new beverage provisions were placed in the Lido restaurant, and enhancements were made to the outdoor spaces. All carpets and mattresses were also replaced as were existing furnishings refreshed.

See the extent of the work completed in the video released by Cunard Cruise Line below:

“The results of Queen Victoria’s refit are a true testament to Cunard’s ability to respond to passenger input. We are delighted to incorporate their wish for more outdoor space with enhancements to the Upper Grill Terrace and additional areas for sunbathing. We also provided more single staterooms for our single travelers. It’s this commitment to our passengers that keeps Cunard’s 175 year heritage going strong,” commented Rick Meadows, President of Cunard, North America.
