At this press conference, President & Chief Operating Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Andrew Stuart outlined the company’s Norwegian Edge fleet enhancement program to maintain brand consistency from its newest to oldest ships and further outlined what’s to come at its new private Harvest Caye destination in Belize.
Highlights include a “flighthouse” with zip-line attractions, catamaran tours from the ship and marina, and Jimmy Buffett food and beverages ashore. There will even be a ropes course on the island itself, which along with the zip-lines will be available to guests at additional cost.
Of interesting note, personal watercraft rentals will not be offered as the cruise line felt they were not congruent with the vibe of the destination. Harvest Caye will be featured on all of Norwegian’s western Caribbean itineries with only one ship in per day.
