Sneak Peek: Norwegian Cruise Line’s Refurbished Pride of America Emerges

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America was already special as the only U.S.-flagged ship to offer seven-day intra-island Hawaiian cruises, and now the ship has been completely updated (illustrated in the slideshow below) as part of the company’s $400 million Norwegian Edge fleet enhancement program.

“When guests step aboard the all-new Pride of America, they will be amazed by the breadth of this renovation,” said Andy Stuart, Norwegian Cruise Line president and chief operating officer. “This is much more than just a fresh coat of paint and new drapes. Pride of America is now essentially a new ship, and the only one to offer this incredibly unique way to experience the Hawaiian Islands with 100 hours of time in port.”

Following a three-and-a-half week dry-dock refurbishment, the ship’s unique patriotic decor remains mostly in place throughout the atrium with a few subtle changes. Overall, the ship was enhanced with a modern aesthetic more in keeping with the rest of the fleet including new furniture, lighting and flooring,
