Seabourn Cruise Line has announced that it has expanded its new cruise ship order to two vessels. The first previously announced luxury liner will launch in late 2016, and the second will launch in spring 2018. The ships will be based on the design of the Seabourn Odyssey (pictured above), Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Quest but will be slightly larger.
Both cruise ships will be 40,350-gross tons in size and accommodate 604 guests. The all-suite vessel will feature one additional deck and new expanded public spaces from its predecessors. Designer Adam D. Tihany is responsible for all indoor and outdoor ship venues like the restaurants, the Spa at Seabourn, showrooms, casino, lounges, deck areas and the Seabourn Square social center.
“There has been an incredible amount of excitement and interest since we announced the order for the first ship, and we’re very pleased that the demand for our brand has allowed us to add a second new ultra-luxury ship to our expanding fleet,” said Richard D. Meadows, Seabourn’s president. “These two new ships will offer the understated elegance we are known for, as well as new amenities, innovations and modern design features that embody the hallmarks of Seabourn.”
