Royal Caribbean International took delivery this week of the line’s newest Quantum of the Seas cruise ship from the Meyer Werft shipyard at Bremerhaven, Germany. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.’s Chairman and CEO Richard D. Fain and Meyer Werft’s Managing Partner Bernard Meyer were in attendance at the official signing ceremony.

Captain Srecko “Felix” Ban took control as master of the ship, and the vessel will soon make its way across the Atlantic Ocean to its homeport of Cape Liberty Cruise Port, Bayonne, New Jersey leaving from Southampton, U.K. on November 2.
