Royal Caribbean International is poised to launch a third Oasis-class cruise ship – the newly named Harmony of the Seas – in April 2016. The upcoming vessel will build on the existing fleet with new innovations and additions inspired by the recently lunched Quantum of the Seas.
“We are orchestrating a medley of new exciting concepts with the best Royal Caribbean innovations to strike the perfect chord for adventurous vacationers. That is why we are calling our third Oasis-class ship Harmony of the Seas,” said Michael Bayley, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International.
New to Oasis
Entirely fresh to the Oasis-class and the bulk of the Royal Caribbean fleet will be three multi-deck water slides that flow suspended high above Central Park – the ship’s naturally landscaped outdoor courtyard. A portion of one slide, as seen in the rendering below, will be translucent while another will feature a swirl bowl at the end of its course.

Making its way from the Quantum of the Seas, Bionic Bar will set up shop in Harmony of the Seas‘ Royal Promenade with its dancing robotic bartender experience. Also from Quantum will be RFID technology in the form of Royal WOWBands, donned on the wrist for stateroom access, reservations and retail purchases. The ship will also boast a high speed internet connection.
What’s more, new to the open-air boardwalk located at Harmony of the Seas‘ stern will be a classic games arcade, climbing play area and relocated Starbucks location.
Staterooms
Harmony of the Seas will offer even larger stateroom categories than her sister-ships, and inside cabins will sport Virtual Balconies with a live digital view from outside the ship. Solo travelers will have studio cabin options, and suite passengers will have exclusive new venues: a suite lounge, Coastal Kitchen restaurant and Suite Sun Zone deck area.
Dining
The flexibility of Dynamic Dining from Quantum of the Seas will also join Harmony of the Seas with an added classic option for two scheduled seating times to rotate through the complimentary dining rooms with their assigned table mates and waitstaff. New specialty restaurants along for the ride include Izumi Hibachi & Sushi for teppanyaki dishes, Sabor Modern Mexican for hispanic food and Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine for unique fare.
