Regent Seven Seas Cruises will introduce a new Parisian specialty restaurant – named Chartreuse – onboard the upcoming Seven Seas Explorer. The new dining venue is one of the new luxury cruise ship’s three specialty restaurants, including the line’s signature Prime 7 steakhouse and another to be detailed soon.
The art nouveau decor invites Seven Seas Explorer guests with an elegant backlit bar and scenic ocean views. According to Regent, theming extends to “flooring that resembles a cobblestoned Parisian street damped by a gentle rain,” “decorative iron sculpting [that] pays a graceful and subtle homage to Paris’ iconic Eiffel Tower,” and “transitions from a regal dining room to a whimsical Parisian courtyard, creating the illusion of al fresco dining.”
The menu will be equally exquisite, combining classic and modern cooking techniques to present dishes like hand-cut Charolais steak tartare in a hazelnut-Dijon emulsion topped with Perlita caviar d’Aquitaine, roasted Cévennes rack of lamb with rosemary-mint persillade and sugar snap pea sauce, and poached Brittany blue lobster tail glazed with caramelized lobster roe butter on a bed of Sologne white asparagus and Romanesco.
Chartreuse will even make its way onboard the rest of the Regent Seven Seas fleet beginning in the summer of 2016, replacing Signatures on Seven Seas Voyager and Seven Seas Mariner and making select dishes available at Compass Rose on Seven Seas Navigator.
