Cruise ship entertainment is continuously being elevated to new heights, and Princess Cruises’ partnership with Oscar-, Tony- and Grammy-winning composer Stephen Schwartz is a testament to that trend. Following the reveal of his first “Magic to Do” production show for the line is his second — “Born to Dance” — coming this fall to the Star Princess and shortly after to the Grand Princess and Golden Princess in early 2017.
This time around the musical will be a tribute to Broadway choreographers and hit dance numbers, crafted by Schwartz and his acclaimed team of creatives. The show is created and directed by Daniel C. Levine who has made appearances in “Mamma Mia!,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Chicago” and “Les Miserables.” Also on the creative team are choreographer Al Blackstone (“So You Think You Can Dance”), musical director Bryan Perri (“Wicked”), costume designer William Ivey Long (“Cinderella”) and more.
