Oceania Regatta, Insignia and Nautica Refurbishment Scheduled

Oceania Cruises is about to begin the most extensive set of refurbishments in the cruise line’s history with a newly announced revitalization of the Regatta, Insignia and Nautica. The three sister ships will undergo $50 million worth of upgrades in a period of six weeks that will improve the suites, staterooms and a number of public spaces to bring them more in line with the cruise line’s newest two vessels – the Marina and Riviera.

Staterooms and Suites

The Owner’s and Vista suites onboard the ship trio will see new bathrooms with the addition of oversized showers and fresh vanities. New original artwork, similar in style to that found on the Marina and Riviera, will also be displayed in all the staterooms and suites.

Dining

The main Grand Dining Room and Toscana Italian specialty restaurant will be expanded with more tables for two, and the casual Terrace Cafe will be transformed with a state-of-the-art grill for cooking up specialties like lobster tails, steaks and lamb chops as popular onboard the fleet’s newer vessels.

Bars

Entirely new to the three ships will be the favorite Baristas coffee bar from the Marina and Riviera. Here, complimentary illy™ coffees as well as gourmet snacks will be served. Also, Martinis will be receiving new furniture.

Lounges and More

Finally, the Horizons observation lounge will be redone with a new color scheme and decor, and the room’s smoking area will be entirely enclosed in glass. What’s more, the show lounges onboard the three ships will be refurbished, and the Canyon Ranch SpaClub will get new steam and changing rooms.

“This refurbishment program is an incredible undertaking but we are excited by the opportunity to bring some of the best features of our O-Class ships to Regatta, Insignia and Nautica,” said Kunal S. Kamlani, president of Oceania Cruises. “We will preserve the personality, elegance and comfort of these vessels while furnishing certain areas with the updated décor and amenities that are found on Marina and Riviera. This will ensure a consistent experience across the fleet that we know our guests will love and appreciate.”

The ships will be reintroduced on the following dates: Insignia on May 8, 2014 – also marking her return to the fleet after a two year charter – Nautica on May 16, 2014 and Regatta on June 7, 2014.
