Activities start around 9 am for the early risers with cruise presentations, photography classes, gaming lessons at the casino, Zumba classes for the more active passengers, special interest get togethers such as needle workers, and even golf and croquet tournaments; just to name a few.
But if you enjoy the chance to get a few more hours of sleep, not to worry. There are still plenty of activities offered in the late morning and throughout the afternoon as well as port lectures that help inform you of what you can expect as you disembark in each Alaskan city.
Movies play throughout the day both inside and outside the ship on the screen above the outdoor pool, at Movies Under the Stars (as seen in the header image above), for those who want to catch up on new releases, or even enjoy a sing-a-long to the movie soundtrack from Frozen.
Seminars abound on varied topics as do sports activities such as basketball, shuffle board, and golf.
The evenings are filled with entertainment options including live production shows and cabaret style shows featuring comedy, juggling, and musical acts. Live music can be heard in several smaller venues throughout the ship including bars and lounges. Those who enjoy dancing can do so to live music. Or you may want to try out the steps that you learned earlier in a dance class.
For those wanting to test your knowledge, there are numerous trivia sessions and game shows available.
There is always time to be on the lookout for aquatic wildlife such as whales, dolphins, and seals as you cruise along. There are plenty of places throughout the ship with great views of the ocean. And for those fortunate enough to have a stateroom with a balcony, you can enjoy the ocean in the privacy of your own space!
As for the children, activities are scheduled all day and through the evening keeping the kids happy during the entire cruise!
Of course, if all of these activities are enough to work up an appetite, there is a variety of food available in many different areas of the ship and of many types. These luscious treats and meals are offered 24/7, be it at regular meal times or late at night where room service will fill the bill. Being hungry is never an option aboard a Princess cruise!
So, step onboard and expand your horizons by taking in all that a Princess cruise has to offer! Bon voyage!
