MSC Cruises has relaunched the MSC Opera after the cruise ship was rejuvenated as part of the line’s $273 million Renaissance Program. The MSC Opera is now the third of the four Lirica-class vessels to be improved. Enhancements included 197 new staterooms, 30 with balconies; redesigned dining rooms and bars; a buffet that now remains open 20 hours a day and more expansive public spaces.

Family and kids facilities have also been redone and sport a new outdoor Spray Park with jets, slides and interactive water features; licensed Chicco® and LEGO® venues; and divided Baby (0-3), Mini (3-6), Juniors (7-11), Young (12-14) and Teens (15-17) areas. The improvements are part of MSC Cruises’ broader $5.6 billion plan that also encompasses four new-builds and options for three more.
