Following Carnival Cruise Line’s initial success with its Cuba voyages aboard the Carnival Paradise, the brand is adding five more sail dates to Havana in 2018.

“Our cruises to Cuba have been very well received and we’re delighted to provide our guests with additional opportunities to experience and explore this fascinating and sought-after destination,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, in a press release.

The new departures range from five to eight days in length. Three five-day sailings will call on Havana and Cozumel or Key West, leaving on February 17, July 2 and September 5, 2018. One six-day cruise will head to Havana and Grand Cayman on August 26, 2018, while an eight-day cruise will visit Havana, Grand Cayman and Cozumel on August 18, 2018.

All voyages feature a day-long and overnight stop in the Cuban capital of Havana with the August 18 departure including two full days in the city.

It all started for Carnival when the Paradise began sailing on four- and five-day cruises to Cuba late this June. Still available this year and into the next are the following dates: four-day voyages on August 24, September 7 and 21 and October 5 and 19, 2017, as well as May 3, 2018; plus five-day voyages on August 28, September 25 and October 9, 2017.

Carnival offers guests close to 20 shore excursion options in Cuba to explore the Caribbean island’s culture. Onboard are Cuban-themed entertainment and activity options.

Carnival reminded in the press release: “The visits to Havana comply with regulations of the U.S. Department of Treasury that permit travel operators to transport approved travelers to Cuba to engage in activities as defined by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Foreign Assets Control.”

The Carnival Paradise additionally highlights two main restaurants, poolside dining, a 24-hour pizzeria, 12,000-square-foot Spa Carnival facility, Serenity adult-exclusive deck area, Seuss at Sea family programming, four swimming pools and 115-foot-long water slide.
