As part of Holland America Line‘s popular Dancing with the Stars: At Sea program, Florence Henderson, the actress best known for playing Carol Brady on the The Brady Bunch TV show, will be welcomed aboard the June 6 and June 13, 2015 theme cruises on the Veendam. What’s more, the line has released a new tablet app for navigating Alaska cruises and land extensions.
Dancing with the Stars: At Sea
Also joining Henderson onboard the special Dancing with the Stars: At Sea theme sailings will be TV personality Carson Kressley and professional dancers Tristan MacManus and Kym Johnson, straight from the current television season of Dancing with the Stars.
The theme cruises additionally feature a production show starring the guest pro dancers and celebrities as they perform their signature dances, a fashion show displaying dresses from the TV show, professionally led dance classes, and photo meet-and-greet and Q & A sessions with the cast.
Meanwhile the guest competition continues according to the cruise line:
“Beginning with cruises that departed on or after Sept. 21, 2014, and continuing with sailings departing through Nov. 24, 2015, every sailing on all 15 ships in the Holland America Line fleet will feature exclusive Dancing with the Stars: At Sea programming. Included are complimentary dance lessons with the ship’s dance pros and a dance competition that gives guests an opportunity to compete for a chance to represent their ship on the Champions Cruise.
“Winners of the guest competitions with the highest scores from each of Holland America Line’s ships will win a free ocean-view stateroom for two on the Champions Cruise to compete for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy and title of Holland America Line’s Dancing with the Stars: At Sea Champion. There will be one winner from each ship on the Champions Cruise sailing aboard ms Nieuw Amsterdam Jan. 10, 2016.”

Alaska Tablet App
Apple, Android or Windows users can freely download a new tablet app by searching for “Holland America Alaska” in their respective app store. The line says the app, “offers the best of Holland America Line’s Alaska brochure, web site and other collateral in an easy-to-navigate mobile tool. Users can explore both cruises and Land+Sea Journeys with a new level of detail, including an interactive map with destination details and excursion options, as well as a sampling of the line’s Glacier Bay podcasts. Users can post, share or print information.”
