Holland America Line has indicated that its Dancing with the Stars: At Sea programming will conclude in 2016, but not before two more exciting theme cruises will set sail with a new dancer and returning celebrity. Joining previously announced Dancing with the Stars: At Sea veterans Kym Johnson and Carson Kressley will be Mirrorball Trophy winner Tony Dovolani and The Brady Bunch mom Florence Henderson.
The Jan. 10, 2016 Champions Cruise and preceding Jan. 3, 2016 signature sailing will feature the new cast onboard the line’s latest Nieuw Amsterdam departing Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the Eastern Caribbean. Both outings will still include dance lessons with the ship’s dancers, a fashion show featuring the dresses from the TV show, a fully choreographed production show with the TV cast and a Q&A session and meet-and-greet with the performers.
As for the Champions Cruise, guest competitors that have been chosen as the year’s single best from each of Holland America Line’s 15 ships through Nov. 24, 2015 will receive complimentary passage to perform onboard. They will once more compete to see who will win and receive the Dancing with the Stars: At Sea Mirrorball Trophy.
“We are thrilled to have the talents of Tony, Kym, Carson and Florence, entertaining and mingling with our guests on these last two special theme cruises,” said Orlando Ashford, president of Holland America Line. “And the Champions Cruise on the Jan. 10 sailing features the exciting grand finale dance-off following a year of guest competitions, and we look forward to crowning a new Mirrorball Trophy winner with the help of these fabulous stars.”
Also continuing through Nov. 24, 2015 is complimentary Dancing with the Stars: At Sea programming on every cruise, including dance lessons with the ship’s pro dancers and a guest dance competition leading up to the aforementioned Champions Cruise.
