First Look: The Reimagined Disney Wonder

Following similar improvements made to the Disney Magic in 2013 and ahead of future fleet expansions, Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic is next to be reimagined with new features this fall. Exclusive highlights include Marvel Super Hero Academy and Tiana’s Place restaurant.

Kids Spaces

The kids facilities at Disney’s Oceaneer Club (ages 3-12) will be getting some “marvelous” additions, namely Marvel Super Hero Academy, where children will be able to train alongside characters like Spider-Man, making his onboard debut. Together, children will build on teamwork and make the headlines of the Daily Bugle.

Other Marvel heroes will interact with kids via a large digital display, and children will have the opportunity to skillfully control a character on screen. Props on display will also encompass Captain America’s World War II shield, Iron Man’s helmet, Spider-Man’s web shooters and Black Widow’s gauntlets.

Other new club features will include Frozen Adventures for digital gameplay with Olaf and other hands-on activities such as a coronation with Anna and Elsa in person.

Reprised from the Disney Magic improvements will be Club Disney Junior and Andy’s Room. In the former, Doc McStuffins will show up to help diagnose and treat stuffed animals, and in the latter, Woody and Jessie will arrive to participate on the multi-level play structure themed to the “Toy Story” franchise. Also as on her sister ship, Flounder’s Reef Nursery will become the new It’s a Small World Nursery.

Plus, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will be brought onboard for retail makeover experiences, the Edge tween club will be enhanced and the Senses Spa & Salon will newly include a Chill Teen Spa.
