It’s a big month for Crystal as Crystal River Cruises brand welcomes a new vessel and its Crystal AirCruises also brings online Crystal Skye.

The line’s custom-configured Boeing 777-200LR was delivered from Greenpoint Technologies during a handover ceremony at Boeing Field in Seattle, Washington.

“We are ecstatic to welcome Crystal Skye to the family, as she marks the beginning of a new chapter and realm of luxury travel for guests who seek the unmatched Crystal Experience,” said Crystal’s CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez, in a press release.

“As we embark on new global adventures with Crystal Skye, we are inspired by the shared vision of our own experts and those at Greenpoint Technologies, who brought this sky-high dream to fruition.”

Crystal Skye is the biggest privately-owned tour jet in the world and will set off under charter service following its official christening in Las Vegas on August 12, 2017.

The 19.5 hour non-stop range aircraft accommodates only up to 88 guests and touts the greatest crew-to-passenger ratio of any twin-aisle plane. Passengers will be pampered in Crystal Exclusive Class seats convertible to 180-degree lie-flat beds. Other amenities include a social lounge with stand-up bar and two galleys for serving fine meals and wines from the Crystal SkyeCellar.

Greenpoint Technologies was employed to craft Crystal Skye’s design, which began with interior installation work at the company’s Moses Lake facility in Washington back in August 2016.

Its attention to detail focused on the likes of a 24-seat lounge with a central bar, sofas, coved ceilings, wine cellar and social space, as well as stone veneers, colored LED lights and other details.

“Our goal for this program was to create a luxurious interior showcasing the elegant brand Crystal has established with their cruise ships, yachts, and riverboats,” said Bret Neely, Executive Vice President at Greenpoint Technologies, in the press release.

“Greenpoint is a company built on teamwork. Both internally and externally with our customers. It was amazing to see the combined core team come together to focus on Crystal’s guest experience, resulting in the beautiful and functional interior we see today.”

Boeing 777 Crystal Skye is operated for Crystal AirCruises by Comlux Aruba NV. For charters, call 855-207-2778.
