Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and with the holiday comes a slew of new cruise deals and incentives for consumers and agents perfect to lavish upon a significant other.Carnival Cruise LineCarnival Cruise Line is providing a new “Leap Into Group Savings” promotion and an enhanced free cruise berth program offer through February 29, 2016.The line is waiving its initial deposit requirement for group bookings on select sailings between August 2016 and April 2018. Also, travel agents will be granted one free berth for every 10 full fare passengers booked instead of the usual 15 required. What’s more, the policy applies for every eight full fare guests reserved on select sailings.Group fares under the promotion start at $229 for three- to five-day cruises and $449 for six-day or longer cruises.Costa CruisesFor Valentine’s Day, Costa Cruises is running a special on some of its most romantic itineraries — the western Med on Costa Diadema and the eastern Med on Costa Mediterranea — with fares under $100 per person per day, onboard credits and a kids sail free deal. Costa Diadema departs from Barcelona on March 28; April 4, 11, 18 and 25; and May 2, 9, 16 and 23. Alternatively, guests can spend more time in Rome with a pre- or post-cruise stay in the city and a cruise of the same itinerary round-trip from Civitavecchia. Rates begin at $647 per person. And Costa Mediterranea departs from Trieste March 26; April 2, 9, 16 and 23; and May 7, 14, 21 and 28.
