People love to laugh, and while cruise ship entertainment still skews more towards universally appealing production shows, a number of comedy club options exist at sea to tickle the funny bone as well.
Here are six standouts to consider on your next vacation.
Carnival Cruise Line ~ The Punchliner Comedy Club
No other cruise line is as dedicated to laughs onboard more than Carnival Cruise Line if only because The Punchliner Comedy Club is available fleet-wide. Even though the partnership with George Lopez as its presenter recently lapsed, the lineup here is still one of the best and draws standing-room-only crowds to its mix of adult and family-friendly shows. Get in line early for these.
Celebrity Cruises ~ Sin City Comedy
Uniquely combining tasteful burlesque performances and stand-up sets is the Sin City Comedy (pictured above) show on select Celebrity Cruises ships. The adults-only offering is in collaboration with Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and literally alternates between hilarious comedy and sexy stripteases (never fully nude). It’s a bit risqué for a premium line like Celebrity, but the show is very entertaining nonetheless.
