Celebrity Reflection Nears Completion and Stars in Festival
Just days ago, the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany hosted their annual Meyer Yard Music Festival to the backdrop of the beautiful new Celebrity Reflection. Celebrity Cruises’ latest ship is currently tied off at the shipyard’s finishing dock which sits immediately across the basin from where the concert was held (as seen above). The ship is now nearly complete with only her interior spaces left to finish. Celebrity Cruises has been releasing images as the interior work progresses on the line’s Facebook page in anticipation of her launch on October 12, 2012.
One of the newly released photographs (above) showcases the pristine pool deck which onboard Celebrity Reflection has been raised up an entire level from her previous sisters. To discover the significant upgrades from her predecessors, read our fully illustrated article – The New Celebrity Reflection: Improvements from the Silhouette.
The restaurants onboard are also coming along very nicely including the Tuscan Grille (above). In fact, I just received word that Predrag Pajovic – Celebrity’s restaurant launch guru and maitre d’ Qsine – will be joining the ship in two weeks to oversee the opening of Celebrity Reflection‘s Qsine specialty restaurant. Read our behind-the-scenes Qsine review here.
Other onboard spaces that have been altered slightly since the Celebrity Silhouette include the aft Sunset Bar which here includes a new seating arrangement and elliptical cantilevered extension (seen above and also in the deck plans here). This bar is situated behind the tranquil lawn club and, in my experience, makes for a fantastic evening hideaway to enjoy a relaxed drink.
