Carnival Cruise Lines is putting the Carnival Triumph mishap well behind and its passengers at the very front with today’s impressive money-back guarantee introduction. Dubbed the Great Vacation Guarantee, the new no-questions-asked policy assures cruise satisfaction or 110% of a guest’s fare returned. The cruise line will even go so far as to pay for getting a guest back home.
Carnival is so confident of its cruise quality that the line describes the offering as “the greatest guarantee you’ll never need to use.” Nonetheless, if a passenger is unhappy with their 3-8 day cruise from the Bahamas, the Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera, Canada/New England or Alaska, they need only decide within the first 24-hours of the sailing to take advantage of it. What’s more, if such a guest decides to try out Carnival again, the line will provide them with a $100 per stateroom onboard credit if they book within a year of the original sailing.

It is very commendable for Carnival Cruise Lines to go above and beyond and implement such a pro-consumer policy, especially after already taking extensive steps to remedy the Carnival Triumph (pictured in the header above) and improve the rest of the fleet.
