The new Carnival Vista from Carnival Cruise Line is closer to its May 1, 2016 launch after the cruise ship’s coin ceremony and float-out. At the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, a commemorative coin was recently welded to the 133,500-gross-ton vessel’s mast, signaling the completion of exterior construction. Soon afterwards, the ship was first floated out and docked to finalize its interior fittings.

Highly anticipated features to be included onboard he Carnival Vista include the first IMAX Theater at sea, a SkyRide suspended cycling attraction on deck, Carnival’s first onboard brewery and a colorful 455-foot-long inner-tube water slide called the Kaleid-o-Slide. Vista will also highlight unique accommodations such as Family Harbor and Havana staterooms and suites.
