Amazingly, the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany builds cruise ships inland, and in order for Royal Caribbean International‘s new Quantum of the Seas to reach the ocean from where it was constructed, it had to sail down the River Ems to Eemshaven, The Netherlands. Now that the so-called conveyance is completed, the ship will undergo its final sea trials ahead of her launch.
