Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas has suffered €50,000 (approx $68,000) of damage after fire broke out yesterday (June 5, 2014) at the shipyard where it is being constructed, reports Adam Coulter, UK Editor for Cruise Critic.

The fire originated from a cabin on Deck 3 of the 158,000-ton, 4,180-passenger ship, which is being built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.

The production area was immediately evacuated and the fire was controlled and extinguished by onsite and regional fire services, Coulter reports.
